Studio News and Schedule for week of Nov. 26th

Dear Infinity Students,

The Asana with Alana Series begins this Thursday. Make sure to register beforehand, or let Alanna know if you plan on making it to all 8 for additional savings.

Yoga Nidra with April is this Sunday. You don’t need to register, but make sure to bring any extra blankets or pillows you want from home to make your experience extra cozy.

Remember that Candlelight is now a once a month event, rather than a weekly class. The first one is Dec. 5th.

We also have a couple of events coming up for which you’ll need to register: Infinity Class Sampler on Tuesday Dec. 11th, and Lunchtime Gentle Yoga at Bluff Country Co-op on Dec. 18th. Call Infinity to register for the Sample, 507-453-794, and Bluff Country Coop to register for Lunchtime Yoga at the Coop, 507-452-1815.

Teacher Feature

Combining dance, martial arts and mindfulness, Nia tones your body while transforming your mind. If you haven’t tried Nia yet this might seem like a very bold claim. However, those of us who have taken a Nia class with Jaque are nodding our heads thinking, “yep, that about sums it up.”
Jacque Paulsen: My Nia story begins with taking class on a whim — needing to “get some exercise” during a very stressful and busy time of my life.  I had always imagined that I was a healthy and fit person, but as the business of my life marched forward I was getting farther and farther away from the person I believed myself to truly be.  Through Nia I have learned how to truly appreciate living in my body – to let go of the self judgement that was preventing me from finding Joy in my everyday life.  I am so happy I followed that whim.  Nia has taught me to dance through the good and the bad, and to invite in curiosity, laughter, play, and happiness as much as possible.  It feels great — and there is plenty to go around.

Cost: 7 punches on your Infinity Card. (8 classes for the price of 7)

Though students are welcome to drop in anytime, for the most benefit you’ll want to attend all 8. For those of you committed to attending all 8 sessions in a series, Alanna is offering the special price or 8 classes for the price of 7.

Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra with April

When: Last Sunday of the Month 6-7:15pm

Cost: $10 drop-in or Infinity Card Punch

Would you like to bring more relaxation to your week and help your body in its natural healing processes? If so, Restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra may be good choices for you. After some gentle movements and restorative yoga, we will settle in to a Yoga Nidra practice.

Lunchtime Gentle Yoga at Bluff Country Co-op

Make a lunch date with your yoga mat at the Co-op!

Bluff Country Co-op has partnered with us to offer you a free yoga class in the Co-op’s Community Room on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. De-stress and re-focus while getting your yoga fix during the lunch hour. This all-levels 45-minute yoga sequence will help create balance in the body and mind and, of course, connect with and honor the light within us all.
