I hope this finds you at the end of an enjoyable weekend, and that you’re feeling happy and loved. No matter how you feel right this moment, I hope that you’re making time for your practice and for taking care of yourself this week.

Hi Everyone!

Outside fat snow flakes are falling onto a carpet of leaves. These particular flakes won’t stay on the ground, but still, the winter we’ve been waiting for is here.

Perhaps you’re already prepared for the change of season, or perhaps this mellow snow is a not so gentle reminder of your to-do list. Either way (but especially if the latter is the case), make sure to put your self care—including your practice—on that list. And while you’re at it, register for our Yoga and Acupuncture event on November 18th!

This week you’ll notice that Sarah Maxey is subbing for April on Sunday.

Can you believe November is almost here? That means Yoga and Acupuncture is coming right up. Make sure you register soon and let us know you’re going to be there.

Hi Everyone!

It’s a great time of year for rewatching or rereading favorite Halloween tales. As a rule I love stories about good witches. But to be fair, I love any story about people learning to accept themselves. When we learn to face our perceived flaws and to love ourselves – not in spite of those flaws, but because of them – it’s downright magical!

Speaking of the healing magic of going within, next weekend is Rahbi Crawford’s Crystal Bowl Concert, and April is leading Yoga Nidra. Make sure you check out the information about both of these events below!

Hi Everyone!

As I write this I’m looking out the window at a gray and blustery fall day and trying to get up the motivation to take myself and my dog for a needed walk. I’m feeling very grateful for our cozy studio and our easy access to tea. And in case it’s not obvious, I’m even more thankful for the warmth I feel from our Infinity community. That’s you!

Remember, this week Mollee’s Tuesday class is at the Bluff Country Co-op. It’s free, just let them know you’re coming. And while you’re there stay and sample some of their delicious lunch. We’re pretty big fan of their Indian Food on Tuesdays! More information below along with our other upcoming events!

Hi Everyone!

Fall Equinox happens at 2:50am tomorrow morning so most of us will sleep through it. However you can still observe it in your own way.

This morning I’m thinking about how the equinoxes arrive during seasons of change which goes against any notations we might hold that balance is best achieved during times of quiet and tranquility! Poses such as the tree pose can help teach us that balance arises out of the juxtaposition of forces. As our foot presses into our strong leg as we continue to make micro adjustments as we hold the pose. I’m not saying you need to wake up at 2:50am to practice a tree pose, but you might consider including them in your daily/ weekly practices.

This Saturday Gentle Yoga classes begin again  with a special New Moon class beginning at 10am. More information below. Look forward to regular 10:45am classes beginning in October and going through the end of the year.

On Sunday April leads a special Yoga Nidra practice during her Restorative Yoga class. We are so lucky to have access to this healing practice on a regular basis!

Lynn is going to step away from her Saturday morning classes while her travel schedule is so hectic. For those of you looking to practice Qi Gong, her regular students meet even when she’s out of town. Please feel free to join them, they are a very welcoming bunch!

Lastly, you’ll want to save the date for Rahbi Crawford’s Feminine Empowerment Concert on Oct. 27th. For those of you who remember Rahbi performed at Infinity years ago. She practices a unique form of healing work using sound and guided meditation to help one align and balance their energy. More information on this concert below.

Rahbi Crawford is a classically trained musician and conductor and holds two masters degrees in Music Education and Choral Conducting. She has lectured several times at Mayo Clinic on sound therapy, and has training with Fabien Maman and the Academy of Sound, Color and Movement.

Hi Everyone!

We are back to our regular September schedule this week so it’s a great time to check out one of Lynn’s Qi Gong classes.

Please note, we are going to be taking some new Infinity photos on Wednesday right after my Basics class. There is no pressure to participate but we greatly appreciate you helping us get images of our beautiful studio into the world.

Saturday Gentle Yoga returns on Sept. 28th with a special New Moon class at a special time. Rather than 10:45-11:45am as usual we’ll start at 10. Let us know soon if you plan to attend. More information below.

Dear Infinity Students,

Jacque wanted me to let you know that she’s now able to cool down the studio with the air conditioner so don’t let the heat keep you away!

On that note, please always let your teacher know if the temperature is uncomfortable for you during class. We have the large window AC to accommodate us in the summer and the wall heaters to help keep us warm in the winter.

Our classes are back to our regular schedule this week, with the exception of no Qi Gong on Saturday. Lynn is still adjusting to a new job so if you are planning on attending Qi Gong please get on her personal email list so she can let you know of any changes that come up.

Dear Infinity Students,

We are back to our regular schedule this week with one addition. Due to a special request I’m teaching Gentle Yoga this Saturday morning, so if you’ve been missing starting out your weekend with me please feel free to join! This class will return for real this September.

Infinity Wellness Center has some great events coming up. The first is a free Pets and Pests doTerra class coming up on the 10th. Then on July 17th, Infinity is offering a day of Safe Breast Screening Thermography.  Thermography is a safe and effective way to detect changes in breast tissue and we’re excited to offer this important service.

Dear Infinity Students,

Today as I write I’m reveling in the joy of practicing with some of you all week, enjoying the salutations at The Longest Day, and experiencing SHIFT~ last night. The word community is echoing through my mind and I am truly appreciating all of you.

I know some of you are super busy this time of year and perhaps haven’t checked in with your Infinity community in awhile. We are here for you when you return. There’s a mat or a place in a Qi Gong class waiting for you.

Speaking of Qi Gong classes, please make sure you check the weekly schedule; Lynn has been traveling and attending to family so the schedule is shifting a bit from week to week.

It is a space to make connections through movement that translate to our lives and the world. Each time will be different, depending on who is there and what themes we are exploring. Dear Infinity Students,

Remember on Friday evening as part of The Longest Day event we’re partnering with Muddy Waters Yoga Studio to celebrate with 108 Salutations down by the levee. And Saturday is SHIFT with Sharon Mansur and Erin Drummond. Join us for a informal performance followed by delicious snacks. Information about all of this is below.

We also have some interesting talks hosted by Infinity Wellness Center this  week. On Wednesday 4-5pm there’s a Sun & Skin doTERRA class,  giving information on which oils are photosensitive and should not be used on your skin prior to going outside in the sun. On Thursday at noon there’s a free talk on Mental Fitness featuring local Hypnotherapist Sarah Ventura.

Don’t forget that this Tuesday Mollee’s Gentle Yoga class happens at Bluff Country Co-op so you’ll want to make sure you pre-register.
